Wildlife Sighting Policy
At Wild Pony Tours, we offer scenic, narrated cruises through Chincoteague’s most beautiful and wildlife-rich areas — with frequent sightings of wild ponies 🐴, bald eagles 🦅, and dolphins 🐬 in warmer months.
While we do our best to guide you where wildlife is most often seen, these animals are wild and sightings can’t be guaranteed. That said, here’s what you can typically expect:
- 🐴 Wild Ponies – ~90% chance year-round
- 🦅 Bald Eagles – ~75% chance year-round
🐬 Dolphins – ~50% chance from late June to early October
