Wild Pony Tours: Committed to Community and Conservation
At Wild Pony Boat Tours, we believe that every ride should do more than show you the beauty of Chincoteague—it should help protect and support it. This island has given so much to us, and we’re proud to give back in return.
For years, Bill and Linda Melvin and their families have been deeply involved in volunteer efforts across Chincoteague. From supporting first responders and organizing community events to helping neighbors in need, their legacy of service runs as deep as the waters we cruise. Inspired by that spirit, we’ve decided to carry it forward in a meaningful way.
Beginning in 2025, we’ll be donating a portion of every ticket sold to local Chincoteague charities. At the end of each season, we’ll choose one or more charities at random from a list of trusted local organizations that are making a difference right here on the island. When you take a tour with us, you’re not just enjoying the scenery—you’re helping fund the people and programs that keep Chincoteague strong.
